For some additional instruction, keep reading and we will provide you with some great repositories and addons to help you view your favorite programming. What you see below is the main Kodi screen. The Kodi developers call this theme Confluence. If you plan on doing other things on your Windows machine, you may wish to be in windowed mode. If you would rather leave it full screen, you can skip this step. Now, click on the system heading, and you will see the screen we show here. To switch the mode to the windowed version, click on system and then video output. Here, you may scroll through the options of windowed and full screen. Once you are happy with your selection, go back to the main screen and choose the file manager heading as shown below. Kodi is now installed which gives you a baseline to work from. Our guide will now provide you with some some helpful tips for getting started with Kodi. Configure Kodi Repositories. Now that you are on the file manager screen, The red arrow shows where you choose the source you want to add. Clicking that heading will bring up the Add Files Source box. The blue arrow shows you where to enter the web address for that source. Kodi works by using repositories, and they are typically abbreviated repos. There is a good youtube video that provides the basis for these choices, and it may be found here. Though you can certainly add more sources, we will give you the ones found in the video. These options will provide you with a great start. With these addons, you may add them in any order you want to, and it will not matter. Just be sure to follow the instructions. We will begin by entering the following code http srp. Now you need to name it. Truly, you can call it whatever you want to, but we suggest something logical. Now that you are back on the home screen, proceed to the settings tab, and select the addons option. That will bring up the screen below. Once you click on each one, if they were successful installs, you will see a pop up window in the lower right hand corner of the screen with the icon for that repo. To get back to the main screen, push the home icon. Now you will want to click on programs, and get more. This list is mostly alphabetical, so look for addon installer. This very helpful addon will help you find the sources you wish. The screen should look like the one below. Now, you have several options. That said, these are all popular addons, but for this example we will choose 5 different options to start with. Our choices are  Exodus, SALTS Stream all the sources, Channel Pear, Live Mix, and 1. Channel Primewire. You can add others, but those are among the best. Of course, that all depends on your goals. Now that you have done this, go back to the home screen and select video addons from whatever items you just added. This is where you search for the movies or shows you want to watch. Since you now have the basics for installing addons manually, we will discuss the Ares Wizard. Kodi is very popular, and many sites have different builds. Those may include images from movies or popular tv shows, and have their own look and feel. The reasons behind selecting a build include changing the skin from default, and adding channels automatically. Go to addons, and click on Ares Wizard. The wizard will set up and give you the option to tweak your system as well as browsing builds and addons. This tool is good for performing a few different tasks, including browsing builds. They will all have their own font and organization, so you have many choices. We recommend using one that is popular, because those are the ones that are usually updated. In the image below, we chose one called Streetwise. Using different builds will provide different options and experiences in Kodi. Depending on the the options you choose, you can watch the TV shows and movies like normal. If you wish to switch to a different skin, or go back to the original, select that skin from the Ares Wizard. From there, you can do a clean install, or use a different skin. Be sure to use a skin that is compatible with Jarvis, or else you may encounter errors. To watch shows or movies, select one of the icons as shown in the image above, and use the search feature. You will see links to shows or movies, depending on which one you choose. While navigating through Kodi, you can add great free music channels like Tunein Radio by using their music option, and many more channels. Lastly, using Kodi in some ways leaves you vulnerable to geo blocks and tracking, so we advise using a good VPN like IPVanish with a large network and a kill switch feature to protect your privacy. Tube Channel Method 2 How To Install Kodi to a Fire TV with a Computer Kodi can also be copied to a Fire TV with a computer. An App is downloaded from the Amazon App store called File Commander. File Commander allows for files to be copied via a computer Browser over to a Fire TV. It gives an IP Address to type into a Browser and files can be uploaded to a Fire Stick. It is easy to do, simply be sure the computer and Fire Stick are on the same network. At the top go to Settings 2 Go to Device 3 Select Developer Options 4 Turn On both ABD debugging and Apps from Unknown Sources. Go Back to the Home Screen. Click to the left for the search option to come up. Type in File Commander 8 Click on the File Commander icon FC9 Click Get for it to download and install. After it installs click Open 1. If a popup comes up click Allow access to Files. On the left go to PC File Transfer 1. At the bottom click the green bar that says Start Service 1. An Internal IP Address will show on the screen along with the port used. The IP Address will be entered into a Browser on a computer to copy files to the Fire TV. In this example it is http 1. Each Fire Stick will have a unique IP Address. Be sure to use the IP Address shown on your Fire TV. Go to the Computer open any Browser such as Fire Fox, Chrome and so on. Type in the IP Address and Port number exactly as shown on your Fire TV Screen. In this example the address and port http 1. Browser. File Commander should come up.
